| 8:12 am | [Hexed Against Children] Oh, God, my baby. He's just--he's so little, even if he is the oldest, and I know he didn't mean any harm by wandering off but-- I could have lost him. We could have lost him and then what? My boy. Godric, he's so like me sometimes but that includes the negative and yes, I KNOW the woods must've seemed more of an adventure but-- What if he was targeted? Do I need a stiff drink. And then I need to get in touch with the office. They need to know. Specifically targeted or a random attack, there's still kidnappers about. |

| 1:41 pm | ( Hexed Private ) I wouldn't mind working late so much if there were something to do. Don't get me wrong, I'm not sitting back hoping for crimes to occur or anything. But it's awfully boring filling out last week's paperwork knowing there was nothing much to report then, and that I'll be doing this all next week saying there's nothing much to report again. In other words, I'm awfully bored. |

| 4:41 pm | Oi. It's that time again, is it? Does it have to be? Though I've got to say, the kids getting together for breakfast in bed was a nice touch. Next time maybe Lily could get a bit more help from Mummy on the scrambled eggs, though? We'll practise them together, I think. Still, you wouldn't once hear me complain. I don't really get birthdays. I don't feel any older, exactly, though it's weird. I did when James turned 9 and I know I'll feel even older his first day of school. It's strange, I guess. It's their milestones and good times that mark me as older now. But then again, the only time I felt older growing up was when I turned seventeen, and that was only because I had come of age. I mean, in some ways I always felt old anyway. Not ancient old, but just like an adult, you know? In less depressing news, it's August 1! Who's ready to go back to school? Oh, right, not me! One more month, though, for my godchildren and all my nieces and nephews. Now, want to talk about what makes you feel old? Knowing my goddaughter is starting her OWL year. Godric, it feels like you were born yesterday, Felicity, when'd you go and grow up on me, hmm? At least some warning might've been nice. It's still nice knowing I've got a couple more years before I have to start thinking along those lines, at least. Wait, birthday cake? Oh, never mind, Lily's teacakes. Still, they're tasty and delicious and I'm off to have some instead of dwelling about how I'm about a thousand and don't feel a day over one hundred and two. |
